In 1981, the UN declared September 21st to be the International Day of Peace (IDP), in the hopes of highlighting and promoting activities around the world aimed at creating a more peaceful and non-violent society. In Montreal, the Peace Network for Social Harmony coordinates the Peace Days events.
For many years, LOVE has shown our support for Peace Network For Social Harmony and their Peace Days initiatives. This year, we led a workshop on non-violent communication with a group of youth. It was an incredible way to join both organizations and share our commitment to non-violence, in a way that also involved LOVE youth.
